Over the last four years, I have had the privilege of calling Mary my teammate,
mentor and friend. When I was a freshman in high school, she taught me the
basics of the sport of bowling. After sophomore year, she traveled with me to my
first JTBA tournament to coach me and calm my nerves. And by junior year, Mary
was one of the first people to congratulate me on a first team all Ohio finish
at the state tournament. Mary has always been someone I look up to and has been
super influential in my bowling career. I am inspired by her leadership,
sportsmanship and dedication to the game.

Mary helped me with improving my bowling scores this summer a lot. She
helped me with being a good model for Julie Wells and helped me with how I
started the ball. She told me to move my finger a certain way, and that helped
me get a lot more revolutions on the ball so it would crush the pocket even
harder. She also helped me realize that bowling is not a muscular sport, it is a
sport based on time. She also helped with an understanding of how nothing has to
be jolted, but just smooth is better.
